About Us
How it All Got Started...
This is a little story about how we came up with the kinda revolutionary and not-so-ingenious idea of trading books online.

We were cooking up something nice.
Once upon a time, Jorge and Johnny were in the kitchen dreaming up new recipes for a restaurant concept. They were having an excellent time coming up with all sorts of ideas on how to make this restaurant AWESOME . But, being two very broke college kids, niether one could come up with any answers on how to finance this wonderful business venture.
That's when the conversation shifted from good food to money. Jorge told Johnny the story of how he purchased a BRAND NEW book at the beginning of the semester for over $120.00, but when he tried to sell the book back at the end of the semester, he was offered a mere, measley, down-right insulting $9.00 for the same barely-used book.
To add insult to injury, the store he was considering selling his book to had an used, same-edition, copy on their shelf marked up to $90.00. Upon hearing this outrageous claim, Johnny told the story of how he purchased a book online once, and the book never came. He contacted the seller, but they lived halfway accross the country and claimed to have sent it weeks ago. When Johnny asked for the tracking number to find the package, he never heard from the person again. Sad thing for Johnny is extremely busy with his schoolwork and job; that by the time he realized he was never going to see that book, and quite possibly his money, he was already four weeks in to a new semester.

"There must be a better way! "
That's when it hit them...
